Ealing Area Guide
Ealing was once a rural village. But, as London began to sprawl uncontrollably, the area was heavily developed and as of 1965 it became part of Greater London. Soon, connections will be even stronger, thanks to a new, quick journey into central London on the Elizabeth Line.
Unlike some surrounding “villagey” areas, Ealing itself is slightly more urban, in part due to Ealing Broadway and its shopping centre. Lots of greenery to be enjoyed in both Gunnersbury Park and Walpole Park, the latter of which is also the home of the Pitzhanger Manor House & Gallery.
